The Office of Student Organizations & Service and the Student Government Association are hosting Alternative Spring Break. Alternative Spring Break is a life-changing program that has grown quickly at colleges and universities across the country. This trip will provide students with an opportunity to make a difference in the community around them. Students will participate in various service experiences, giving them the chance to changes lives through serving others. Alternative Spring Break will allow students to learn from the people and organizations they encounter, connect with other students, and gain a better understanding of the world.
What is ASB?
During Alternative Spring Break, students will get to use their time off from school to serve others, gain new experiences, and develop new friendships. During spring break, we will take a group of students to various volunteer sites. Each trip will focus on a different social issue, including homelessness, hunger, and more.
How can I get involved?
Students may become involved as a participant or a site leader. Participants apply to be part of a team that goes on a community service trip during Spring Break. A Site Leader will assist in coordinating the trip logistics, recruitment, and reflection activities.
