See Spot Run

Over the last 17 years, Spot has worked hard to bring smiles, wagging tails, sore muscles, and awareness about the local Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity.  We were able to co-sponsor eight homes for families in Murfreesboro because of your support.  We have all had to make adjustments and reevaluate programs over the last two years.  Spot had to do the same.  Spot has run his last race at MTSU, but we are hoping he will have a new home in the coming year.

The MTSU Habitat Build program and our partnership with the local Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity WILL continue, but will look a little different.  We will continue fundraising to support the next five years (hopefully more) of panel builds that we will occur on our campus.  We are looking forward to watching our students build the walls of new houses and watch them moved down the street to become the walls of new homes, where deserving families are able to hang pictures and make new memories.  Our students will live out the True Blue Pledge by being engaged in the life of their community.  Who knows, maybe those families will have their own “Spot” when they get settled in.

From the bottom of Spot’s heart, thank you for the support you have given to the students of MTSU over the years and the families you have supported.  If you would like to contribute to the MTSU Habitat Build program let us know and we will be happy to send you more information.
